When I was in elemantary school I entered a reading contest and I guess I'm still in it because I never stopped reading afterwards. I LOVEEEEE to read. I am always reading one, or two books at a time. I've learned so much and visited so many places just by turning a page... And, don't even get me started on all the emotions I experienced while reading a book. I can go from laughing my pants off to crying histerically to be enraged. It's so awesome!
Anyway, I hope we can talk books here and you can give suggestions for what to read next =)
Thanks for visiting, y'all. Now, let's read...
Currently, I am reading:
- The third book in Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest and
- the last book of the Harry Potter's series, again, since I'm going to go see the movie soon and I wanted to refresh my memory.
Did you guys know that there are movies for the three book in the Millenium trilogy? Yeap, all three movies made in Sweden and the actress they chose to play the part of Lisbeth is really good. I understand the U.S. version of "The girl with the dragon tattoo" is currently beign filmed.
A good book a read a year ago is "The Kite Runner", another one I enjoyed is "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus"
ReplyDeleteI read the kite runner too and enjoyed it very much. I've heard of the other one you mentioned but haven't read it.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone, I just wanted to recommend Another great book by Khaled Hosseini to those who liked The kite runner. A Thousand Splendid Suns is actually one of my favorite books. It follows the lives of two Afghan women, as they move from children to adults during the soviet invasion and ending with the overthrow of the Taliban. from his books i have learned a lot about the political system, class, religion in Afghanistan. He is a brilliant writer and I am looking forward to his next book...
ReplyDeleteI have seen the movie The girl with the dragon tattoo. Great movie!
